COMMENTARY | None of us ever understand the audibles quarterbacks use at the line of scrimmage to change up a play. They have their own code, and although it's fun to watch, it's impossible to follow what they're doing. Plenty goes on during the week to make sure that everyone is on the same page, but we're stuck on the outside looking in.

There are some standard calls that players around the league use. Tom Brady may have started a new audible trend; using your head coach's girlfriend's name.

During the team's thrilling win against the Denver Broncos, Brady appeared to use Linda as an audible before he threw a touchdown pass to Rob Gronkowski. Linda Holliday is Bill Belichick's girlfriend. Do you think Bill knew about this?

Belichick and Brady have one of the best working relationships between a quarterback and a head coach ever, as their success is undeniable. They have three Super Bowl victories together, and have gotten to the big game an additional two times. Brady has put up some gaudy passing numbers under Belichick's guidance. Both will go down as legends whenever they decide to retire.

So, it's safe to say they're pretty comfortable with each other. This is a hysterical move by Brady, and you have to wonder how long the New England Patriots have been using this audible. Was this something the offense came up with this week, or has it been going on for a while? Did Bill know about it, and if so, did he care?

In the midst of one of the biggest games of the year, it's nice to see that Brady found a way to inject a little bit of humor.

If Bill has anything to say about it, I'll guess that Brady won't be using that audible too often. If it results in a touchdown pass to Gronk, however, I'm sure he can live with it.
